Big Bend Hospice (BBH) is your “Hometown Hospice” providing compassionate end-of-life care for over 40 years to the Big Bend region. Guided by our values of integrity, respect, and excellence, we are seeking an experienced Grief Support Counselor to join our team.
The ideal candidate is a compassionate, experienced professionals who is passionate about providing grief support in both traditional and non-traditional settings. They will thrive in a flexible, community-based role that includes reaching out and building relationships within the rural communities we serve, offering support in clients’ homes, local office locations, schools, and other community spaces. These individuals are comfortable traveling across multiple counties and delivering high-quality grief counseling and bereavement services in a variety of environments. With a strong clinical foundation and a heart for service, they are committed to supporting individuals and families through the challenges of loss, while upholding Big Bend Hospice’s core values of integrity, compassion, and accountability.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
The Grief Support Counselor responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Provides grief counseling, crisis support, referrals, and psychoeducation before and after a patient’s death as needed.
Work Schedule:
Travel Requirement: You must have a reliable vehicle and be willing to be dispatched throughout our services areas.
