PURPOSE

OVERVIEW
The Electrical Lead Assembler plays a key role in the design, building, and delivery of automation systems. This role manages and supports the Panel Shop Team while collaborating closely with Systems Technicians, Project Teams, and engineering to ensure project success. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead Panel Shop Team

3. Collaboration and Production
   • Maintain meticulous attention to detail in the assembly and finishing of panels, resulting in a consistently clean and professional appearance. 
   • Strictly adhere to all project drawings and specifications, producing panels that accurately meet dimensional requirements and design intent.
   • Responsible for wiring electrical panels and field wiring on automation cells.  
   • Communicate clearly and concisely with the Project Team and the Project Team Leads.
   • Maintain the current project update status in Smartsheet
   • Be proactive with all project communication channels and information requests in a timely fashion
   • Work closely with Production Team leads and Production Manager 
   • Assist with all reasonable requests from the Production Manager
4. Performance Metrics
   • Strive for a 100% on-time completion rate on build milestones.
   • Contribute to increasing the production team's overall efficiency rating, which is targeted at 76%.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to read & understand electrical schematics (JIC style) and mechanical assembly prints
• 5+ Years of experience in electrical panel building or related field
• Ability to teach, train, and develop electrical team members
• Ability to improve processes and procedures, and implement new ideas to increase efficiency and/or reduce safety risks
• Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and driven to solve problems
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Technical competence to understand and execute mechanical/electrical technical assembly 
• Collaborate closely with engineering by furnishing detailed redline drawings that accurately reflect as-built conditions, proposed changes, or discrepancies encountered during fabrication or installation. Ensure all redlines are legible and clearly communicate necessary adjustments.
• Fluency in using CAD, Microsoft, ERP, and AI systems is preferred 
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Fluency in Spanish would be helpful in this role

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Contribute 45 hours on average per week
• Able to work in an office and manufacturing floor environment where a computer, telephone, machines, and other equipment are used as needed to perform duties
• Communicate and present in English.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand, and move from one area to another. 
• Regularly required to work in constricted parts of machine cells 
• Constant and repeated use of the keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift, and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
