Position Summary

This position reports to the Stores Manager and will provide support for all aspects of storeroom and warehouse management. This role ensures accurate inventory control and smooth material flow by unloading and receiving shipments, performing inventory counts, and fulfilling parts requests for plant employees. The clerk enters and maintains records in company systems, monitors inventory levels, and escorts delivery drivers and vendors as needed. Responsible for ensuring efficient operations in accordance with company standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor maintenance work order parts workflow, ensuring efficient tracking and processing in JD Edwards software.
  • Reconciliation of inbound shipments.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory counts.
  • Use a computer to enter records.
  • Cycle count items.
  • Perform audits.
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
  • Fill parts requests for plant employees.
  • Obtain accurate storage tank levels.
  • Unload incoming shipments.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments.
  • Provide escort services to delivery drivers and vendors.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with Oracle's EnterpriseOne (JD Edwards) software program strongly preferred.
  • Ability to operate a forklift required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, with focus on process and time management discipline.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines is required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • Excellent computer skills and attention to detail are a must.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and can be approved by our insurance carrier for operation of company vehicles off-site.

 

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and elevated platforms. 
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and provide 24/7 support to plant operations if necessary.
  • Willingness to work around dust, chemicals, high temperatures, loud noises, and running equipment.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection) in addition to a full face respirator as necessary in emergencies.
  • Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs.
