Requirements
Education: Medical Assistant Certificate, Diploma or Associate’s Degree from accredited program.Â
Required Experience: Minimum 6 – 12 months experience as a Medical Assistant preferred. FHN externship or apprenticeship counts as work experience.Â
Special Skills and Abilities:
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Certified as CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA or eligible for certification. Certification must be obtained within 6 months from date of MA program completion. The individual will have two (2) opportunities to successfully complete the national examination. If the medical assistant fails to pass the national examination and is unable to secure certification, they will be removed from the Medical Assistant role.
- BLS Certification
