JOB DESCRIPTION

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Student Relations Manager will manage school facilities in conjunction with the Site Administrator and Regional Student Relations Manager for a multi-school campus network. This Position is responsible for the direction of the Compliance Program including student data compilation and analysis, and be responsive for such data, such as student attendance.   • Plan, organize, manage and direct all aspects of the Compliance Program; ensure procedures are in accordance with federal and State educational regulation, School Board policies
  • Direct workflow for the Student Relations department to ensure productivity, peak performance
  • Ensure Student ADA is claimed within company deadlines
  • Supervise Student Relations Department personnel and provide support to Credentialed Personnel
  • Collect and analyze data, prepare reports and make presentations as requested in support of Student Relations department goals
  • Oversee new student orientations and ensure adherence to school procedures
  • Provide training and technical assistance on the Compliance Program to personnel; ensure continuous training when necessary
  • Conduct interviews and collaborate with the Human Resources Department on new hire recommendations and orientations; Adhere to Recruiting & Hiring Guide policy and procedures
  • Creates and distributes weekly work schedules
  • Reviews and submits campus supply orders to the Principal or designee
  • Responsible for safety and site maintenance; Collaborate with the Facilities Unit
  • Complete and conduct annual employee performance evaluations; Collaborate with the Regional Student Relations Managers and Principal(s) on employee performance reviews
  • Provide data reports to Site Administration and department management
  • Recommend changes or updates to the Compliance Program or forms to Student Relations department management
  • Work with vendors for updates, enhancements or changes to the Student Information database
  • Prepare and participate in school audits
  • Be an active and positive contributor to the school; participate in graduation & school events
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Adherence to attendance policies
  • Administrative duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage, coordinate, supervise, coach, and direct the hiring, training, or performance evaluations of team members and oversee their daily activities

Qualifications

 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:

  • Knowledge of California Education Code as it relates to student attendance
  • Data analysis & reporting
  • Records management
  • Personnel Management principles & practices (including hiring, supervising, training, employee performance)
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community members to affect the best outcomes for students
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to meet multiple competing deadlines and schedules
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of high school diploma or GED; college coursework/degree preferred
  • 3 years of related business duties; highly desired public education work experience
  • Experience using student information databases
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Email, Powerpoint)

TRAVEL: Ability to travel in performance of job duties with overnight stay

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mental Demands: high workflow management, high project coordination
  • Finger Dexterity: using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together
  • Talking: especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly
  • Average Hearing: able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information
  • Average Visual Abilities: ordinary acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or operate machinery
  • Physical Strength: sedentary work. Sitting most of the time, and occasionally exerts up to 10 lbs. of force (almost all office jobs)
  • Frequent multi-tasking, changing of task priorities, repetitious exacting work required
  • Working in a noisy, distracting environment with frequent deadline pressures
