Substitute

Looking for dependable individuals who have availability several days per week. Hours are generally 7:30-3:15. 

Rate of Pay: $90 Full Day, $45 Half Day

Substitute teachers are responsible for carrying out the lesson plans of the teachers for whom they are substituting for and meeting the duties of teaching as outlined in laws and policies.

Duties include the following:

· Adhering to the lesson plan left by the teacher for whom he/she is substituting in accordance with Bayside Academy’s philosophy, goals and objectives.

· Meeting and instructing assigned classes in the location and at the times designated.

· Establishing and maintaining order in the classroom.

· Maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.

· Taking all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment and facilities.

· Assisting in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations and policies.

Substitutes must report to the appropriate division assistant at the beginning and end of each school day to clock in and out.

Bachelors Degree Preferred.

Experience working with students.

Must complete fingerprinting process through the Department of Education with Fieldprint, Background screening and drug testing via hair sample to be elibile for employment.
