SUMMARY:  Logan University is seeking a smart and innovative Assistant Director of Admissions in the Office of Admissions. The Assistant Director of Admissions plays an important role in leading the recruitment efforts of the College of Health Sciences at Logan University. This individual will be responsible for managing the College of Health Sciences admissions team, including coordinator development and training, funnel management, data-informed strategy, and overall office leadership. This role will have a recruitment territory that is the responsibility of the Assistant Director to oversee and manage.

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. General Expectations
    • Serve as a representative of Logan University and the Office of Admissions
    • Actively recruit students to Logan University and its programs
    • Ability to clearly and simply articulate the value propositions of Logan University, its degree programs, and the specific requirements for completing the application process
    • Collaborate cross-departmentally with institutional leaders to serve students
    • Assist with on-campus and webinar events, including but not limited to: Future Leopard Weekends, Orientation, Advisor Day, Program Webinars, etc.
    • Lead the team in being a subject matter expert for the College of Health Sciences degrees and assist with informing the team of programmatic changes.
    • Champion prospective students (and their support systems) as they consider becoming a student at Logan University.
  2. Coordinate Development and Training
    • Supervise and lead the College of Health Sciences Admissions Coordinators by providing support, structure, and oversight for our recruitment efforts of health sciences programs.
    • Hire and onboard new Admissions Coordinators and ensure they are prepared to represent Logan University and provide exemplary customer service to prospective students.
    • Develop Admissions Coordinators through weekly check-ins and ongoing team training opportunities.
    • Serve as the point of contact for Admissions Coordinators and assist them in crafting strategies to effectively engage their respective recruitment territories.
    • Manage employees’ time off, workloads, and purchase card transactions.

3. Funnel Management

  • Manage a recruitment territory within the College of Health Sciences by assisting students through the admissions process, reviewing and evaluating applications for admission, and communicating directly with students through their application process.
  • Lead the team in understanding and evaluating the College of Health Sciences admissions funnel and provide ideas for strategies and initiatives to address funnel needs.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Admissions to develop compelling automated and ad-hoc communication plans that will effectively and productively encourage conversion of prospective students.
  • Coach Admissions Coordinators to strategically and proactively compel prospective students to progress through the admissions process.

 4. Funnel Data and Strategy

  • Utilize data and surveys to strategically and regularly analyze the effectiveness of communications and admissions events to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work with the Director of Admissions to evaluate funnel data to develop and implement annual enrollment strategy for the College of Health Sciences program.
  • Oversee the dashboards, metrics, and comparative data of enrollment efforts for the College of Health Sciences program.
  • Assist with implementing recruiting and performance goals based on admissions data and in collaboration with the Director of Admissions.

5. Office Leadership

  • Serve as a member of the Admissions leadership team.
  • Assist in cultivating a positive team culture and direction by brainstorming team-wide professional development opportunities, off-site retreats, and weekly rhythms with a commitment to being hungry, humble, and smart.
  • Participate in the development of institutional enrollment goals and strategy.
  • Be a trendsetter in embodying the core values of Logan University and the principles of the Office of Admissions.

ESSENTIAL JOB MEASURABLES:

  • Achieve or surpass each trimester’s enrollment goals
  • Engage with and manage more than 1,000 inquiries and over 300 applicants over the course of an annual recruitment cycle
  • Annually host 200+ prospective students and families for campus visits
  • Complete at least 5,000+ phone calls over the course of a year
  • Deliver, manage, or respond to more than 2,500+ texts in a recruitment cycle
  • Effectively and proactively respond to inbound communication within one business day

COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a strong working knowledge of Slate by Technolutions and Microsoft products, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Teams. Applicants must also have the ability to learn new programs as needed.
