Position Summary:

As a member of the President’s Cabinet, reporting directly to the President, the Vice President of Enrollment Management (VPEM) serves as the strategic leader responsible for advancing Logan University’s enrollment vision through the development and execution of a comprehensive, data-driven enrollment strategy. The VPEM oversees all aspects of recruitment, admissions, financial aid, and digital marketing pertaining to the recruitment of students, ensuring alignment with the University’s mission, vision, values, and strategic plan.  The VPEM is responsible for crafting and executing a successful retention strategy and monitoring student success metrics. In addition, the VPEM will be accountable for enhancing SEO/SEM, social media strategy, and content marketing, particularly for online programs. This role plays a critical part in shaping Logan’s future by fostering collaboration across departments to attract, enroll, and retain a highly qualified student body.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Leadership:

 

  • Provides strategic leadership and direction to the university in all facets of the establishment of institutional initiatives related to student enrollment management.
  • Develops and implements a multi-year, evidence-based enrollment management plan that supports institutional growth, program expansion, and student success.
  • Establishes and implements a strategic, comprehensive enrollment plan for the university and its various related components, to include Admissions and Student Financial Aid, and provides strategic oversight for undergraduate and graduate enrollment initiatives, both on-ground and online.
  • Partners with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Institutional Effectiveness, Marketing, and Student Services to ensure alignment of recruitment, retention, and brand positioning efforts.
  • Establishes and implements short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Develops and manages annual budgets for the organization, performing cost and productivity analyses.

 

Admissions and Recruitment:

  • Leads the Office of Admissions to achieve or exceed annual enrollment goals by developing innovative recruitment strategies, enhancing the prospective student experience, and leveraging CRM and data analytics tools (e.g., Slate).
  • Ensures a culture of exceptional customer service, responsiveness, and professionalism throughout the admissions process.
  • Collaborates with academic program leaders to ensure recruitment goals align with program capacity and institutional priorities.
  • Leverages emerging technologies, including AI and predictive analytics, to optimize recruitment and enrollment outcomes

 

Financial Aid and Student Financing:

  • Oversees the Office of Financial Aid to promote accessibility and affordability while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
  • Establishes effective financial aid packaging strategies to support enrollment and retention goals.
  • Develops predictive models for scholarship allocation and net tuition revenue optimization.

 

Marketing and Communications:

  • Directs in-house and external digital marketing partners in designing and executing campaigns that strengthen Logan University’s brand awareness and drive lead generation.
  • Integrates digital marketing analytics with enrollment data to inform decision-making and enhance ROI on recruitment marketing investments.
  • Collaborates with the Office of Communications to ensure consistent institutional messaging and visual identity across all platforms.
  • Optimizes SEO/SEM, social media strategy, and content marketing, particularly for online programs.

 

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Collaborates with Academic and Student Affairs to develop successful retention strategies that support student persistence and graduation, evidenced by student success metrics.
  • Partners with Institutional Effectiveness to monitor key performance indicators related to applications, financial aid utilization, student demographics, application-to-enrollment yield, net tuition revenue, and retention rates.
  • Utilize market research and demographic data to inform recruitment priorities and program development.
  • Presents actionable insights and reports to Cabinet, Board of Trustees, and campus stakeholders.

 

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Provide visionary leadership, mentorship, and professional development for direct reports and their teams.
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration to strengthen the student lifecycle from inquiry to graduation.
  • Serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet, contributing to institutional strategy, culture, and community engagement.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in higher education administration, business, marketing, or related field required; doctorate preferred.  Preference will be afforded for candidates with certifications in enrollment management, data analytics, and/or digital marketing.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in enrollment management, admissions, or related fields within higher education.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic enrollment and marketing plans that achieve measurable results.
  • Proven experience managing financial aid operations, marketing campaigns, and CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with student lifecycle platforms beyond CRM (e.g., retention software, SIS integration).
  • Experience with AI-driven enrollment tools, predictive analytics, and automation in recruitment workflows.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to type on a computer, operate office equipment, and handle books, files, and documents.  Must be able to talk and hear to answer phones and assist others.  The is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop or kneel.  The employee must occasionally lift objects weighing from 10 to 30 pounds and possibly up to 50 pounds.  Close vision is needed to use a computer.  Must have distance vision and depth perception for safety purposes.   

 

Work Environment:

The work environment in this position is typical of a standard office setting.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
