Description

As a Partner in Wellbeing, the Access Specialist works with a team to provide direction of services needed, meeting directly with clients and their families working with various financial situations and special requirements. Escalate calls where they are beyond job scope, ensuring quality service. Follow through with customers and problems to ensure closure. This function involves extensive use of electronic health record and data entry accuracy. Within the team, Access Specialists will assist in multiple duties, including answering multi-line telephone systems, registrations, insurance verification, referrals, scheduling, and financial counselling to clients and family members. This position is the first point of contact in assisting clients in their wellbeing journey. The Access Specialist also supports clients’ access to psychology services by assisting the psychologist with information collection and administration of tests.

Qualifications

Required Education, Certification, Experiences

  • High school diploma/GED; additional qualifications are considered an asset.
  • Must pass a criminal background check through MN DHS NetStudy.
  • Access to a personal vehicle and the ability and willingness to use the vehicle in carrying out position responsibilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable under the agency’s automobile insurance policy.
  • Free from substance use problems for a period no less than 2 years.
