JOB TITLE: Company Manager

COMPENSATION RATE: $55,000 - $60,000 annually

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Company Manager is vital to supporting the full company of actors, crew, and creative personnel for all Goodman Theatre productions. This position is responsible for managing a wide range of administrative and logistical needs—including travel, housing, contracts, and day-to-day artist support—while ensuring compliance with Goodman Theatre policies and union agreements.
The ideal candidate will bring direct experience working with League of Resident Theatres (LORT) collective bargaining agreements and a strong background in general management operations within a major regional theatre. They should be a proactive problem-solver with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with a collaborative spirit that fosters a supportive environment for artists and staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administer and ensure compliance with union labor agreements, including AEA, SDC, USA, and particularly LORT agreements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Model behavior and values consistent with Goodman’s Community Agreements and furthering Goodman’s IDEAA (inclusion, diversity, equity, anti-racism and access) goals.

When not in production, the schedule is typically Monday–Friday. During production periods, evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required. Rehearsal and performance coverage will be coordinated with other staff to ensure consistent support for artists and crews. Flexible scheduling is offered to maintain work/life balance.
