Position Overview
Holton-Arms School seeks a highly motivated and collaborative professional to join a dynamic Admissions team. The Associate Director of Admissions will support all aspects of student recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts for grades 3–12. This individual will serve as an ambassador for the school, helping prospective families understand and appreciate Holton’s mission, core values, and community.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; possess a deep understanding of the value of girls’ education; and be able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This is a full-time 12-month position.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive calendar of outreach events for current and prospective parents and students, such as Open Houses, yield events, and specialized Admissions programming
- Lead and participate on campus committees related to outreach and recruitment efforts across campus to reach enrollment goals
- Assist in development of data-driven recruitment strategies from various sources to evaluate trends, school market position, and competition
- Support strategic communications and outreach initiatives, including personalized communication with prospective families
- Effective use of CRM technology, communication strategies, Finalsite, and Veracross is a positive
- Work with the Director of Enrollment Management to foster relationships with feeder and peer schools and identify new outreach opportunities
- Collaborate with the Advancement and Communications teams to create and update print materials, website content, social media posts, and digital advertising related to admissions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Guide and support all prospective families seamlessly through the full admissions cycle, from interest to enrollment, ensuring a personalized experience
- Conduct admissions interviews and campus tours for prospective students and families (grades 3–12)
- Manage admissions testing for applicants
- Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment to design and manage admissions processes
- Support or supervise short-term projects critical to the success of the Admissions Office
- Lead the admissions committee’s process for evaluating applicant files
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, student ambassadors, and parent volunteers
- Serve as a key member of a dynamic and high-performing admissions team, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficiency
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in admissions, preferably in an independent school or higher education setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with admissions databases and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally
- Experience with Financial Aid is a plus
- Upholds strict confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information
- Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus
- Coaching experience is desired
Salary and Benefits
The average salary range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000, the exact salary to be determined based on education and experience.
