Machine Operator - Day

Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting machines to produce high-quality metal and tube components. You will play a key role in ensuring parts meet specifications, production runs efficiently, and safety standards are followed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment for sheet metal and/or tubing, press brake machine, and other shop equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Monitor cutting operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.

Skills and Qualifications

• 1+ years of CNC machine operation experience (laser cutting experience a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required (technical training preferred).

Pay Range: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
