Job Summary:

As a Sales and Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing sales and marketing strategies for all existing and new products. You will lead product launches, develop targeted marketing campaigns, build client relationships, and deliver comprehensive reports on performance metrics. This role requires strong project management, communication, and analytical skills, with frequent travel for client engagement and industry events. Compensation is salary-only, with no commission or cell phone reimbursements.

 

Key Responsibilities (Detailed)

 

1. Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing plans

· Analyze product portfolio to identify growth opportunities for both current and upcoming products.

· Design segmented marketing campaigns customized by product, target audience, and sales channel.

· Collaborate with product management and R&D to understand new product features and positioning.

· Set clear sales targets and marketing KPIs linked to business goals for each product line.

· Plan promotional activities including email marketing, social media, content marketing, and direct sales outreach.

2. Conduct market analysis and customer research

· Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies to maintain competitive advantage.

· Collect and analyze customer feedback via surveys, focus groups, and direct communication.

· Use market research data to refine messaging, product positioning, and identify potential new markets or segments.

· Prepare SWOT analyses and market segmentation reports to guide strategic decisions.

3. Lead product launches and coordinate cross-functional teams

· Develop detailed product launch plans including timelines, key deliverables, and marketing materials.

· Work closely with sales, customer support, and technical teams to ensure alignment on product features and benefits.

· Organize training sessions for internal teams and key customers on new products.

· Track launch effectiveness through sales uptake, customer feedback, and campaign metrics.

4. Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships

· Schedule and conduct regular meetings with existing clients to review product performance and identify upsell opportunities.

· Develop new business by identifying prospects, initiating contact, and managing follow-ups.

· Attend networking events to build and expand professional contacts.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention.

5. Plan and participate in industry events

· Identify relevant trade shows, conferences, and seminars that align with company goals.

· Coordinate event logistics including booth setup, promotional materials, and travel arrangements.

· Present company products and services at events, delivering tailored presentations and demos.

· Collect leads and post-event feedback for follow-up and reporting purposes.

6. Create marketing collateral and sales proposals

· Design and update brochures, case studies, presentations, and product datasheets.

· Work with graphic designers and content creators to ensure messaging consistency.

· Customize proposals based on client needs, highlighting relevant product benefits and ROI.

· Manage digital assets and ensure all materials are current and accessible to the sales team.

7. Manage and update CRM system

· Enter all sales activities, customer interactions, and lead information in CRM daily.

· Maintain clean, accurate, and comprehensive customer data to enable effective sales tracking.

· Use CRM analytics to identify pipeline gaps, forecast sales, and generate performance reports.

· Train team members on CRM best practices as needed.

8. Prepare detailed sales and marketing reports

· Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports broken down by product, region, and sales rep.

· Report marketing campaign ROI including metrics such as leads generated, conversion rates, and cost per acquisition.

· Analyze sales pipeline health, identifying bottlenecks or opportunities for acceleration.

· Deliver competitor activity reports, highlighting new products, pricing changes, and marketing campaigns.

· Present insights and recommendations to leadership to guide strategic adjustments.

9. Collaborate with internal teams

· Partner with product development to communicate market demands and feature requests.

· Work with customer service to address common product issues and improve customer satisfaction.

· Coordinate with finance and operations for pricing, budgeting, and inventory planning.

10. Track travel expenses and submitting reports

· Log all travel-related expenses in compliance with company travel policy.

· Submit timely, detailed expense reports with receipts for reimbursement.

· Plan travel efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize costs.

 

Travel Requirements (Detailed):

· Travel frequently within Texas and occasionally out of state to meet clients, attend trade shows, or visit partners.

· Plan travel in advance and coordinate with management to align with company priorities.

· Use personal mobile devices for communication; employees are responsible for their own phone plans and costs (no reimbursement).

Qualifications

Qualifications (Detailed):

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline preferred.

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales and marketing roles with exposure to product launches and multi-product management.

· Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with sales data, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), and marketing automation tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Marketo).

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to craft compelling messaging and presentations.

· Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.

· Self-motivated and results-driven with a passion for customer engagement and product success.

· Comfortable with frequent travel and a client-facing role requiring professionalism and adaptability.
