Superintendent

South Coast Improvement Company is a dynamic, success driven commercial construction management firm and we are seeking a Superintendent to join our diverse, talented team. South Coast Improvement has 85% repeat business with some of the largest providers of Senior Living and Affordable housing along the East Coast.

South Coast Improvement Company serves a number of sectors in New England, and also specializes in renovating and expanding occupied Senior Living facilities along the Eastern Seaboard. We have a projects in Central New Jersey that we are hiring for immediately.

Superintendent Responsibilities

• Enforce all OSHA and best in class safety standards
• Lead all efforts in maintaining schedule
• Maintain strong knowledge of plans, intent and existing conditions
• Manage multiple subcontractors, tradesmen and laborers for the duration of each project.
• Expected to enforce quality and best in class workmanship
• Actively participate in client meetings
• Conduct inspections during precon and close out

Superintendent Experience Preferred

• Minimum of 2 - 5 years’ experience in commercial construction, preferably for a General Contractor, as a site supervisor or assistant site supervisor
• Enforcement of safety best practices as well as leading weekly tailgate/tool talk, and daily safety checks
• Interior and exterior renovation work including selective demo, ceiling and wall assemblies, finishes, millwork and MEPs
• Occupied renovations as well as tying in new construction/additions to existing
• Scheduling and coordination skills are essential
• Managing multiple subcontractor trades simultaneously
• Procore, MS Project, and similar program familiarity preferred

• Anticipated base salary range $90-$115,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Superintendent Employment Requirements

• Willingness to undergo a background check
• Provides own, reliable transportation
• Booking own lodging when traveling (per diems provided)
