Summary
The Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate (CRE) borrowers. This includes analyzing financial statements, preparing credit approval memoranda, and supporting the credit decision process in alignment with Leader Bank’s policies and procedures. 


Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flows and projections of commercial borrowers.
  • Prepare detailed Credit Approval Memoranda assessing repayment ability, collateral adequacy, creditworthiness, and loan structure with recommendation of approval. 
  • Conduct industry and market analysis to assess borrower risk.
  • Collaborate with lending officers to gather borrower information and occasionally attend joint client calls.
  • Ensure compliance with financial covenants and reporting requirements.
  • Review appraisals, environmental reports, and commitment letters for consistency with approval terms.
  • Maintain documentation and compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 1-5 years of experience in commercial credit, loan underwriting, or financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and tools like MS Office software.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
