Summary
The Application Engineer is a part of the Bank’s Technology Innovation Team and is responsible for the Bank’s cloud technology deployment, management, support, and implementation.  


Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve integration components for the Bank’s partners systems and internal systems
  • Supporting and maintaining all the Bank’s authorized applications lifecycle  
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on new application technologies and initiatives
  • Designing and deploying modular cloud-based systems
  • Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices
  • Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
  • Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements
  • Willingness to learn and pick up innovative technologies when requested 
  • Work on a complex technical development, prototypes/proof of concepts under the direction of CTO and the AVP of Innovation 

Qualifications 

  • BS in Computer Science or related field, or significant equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in supporting and maintaining application 
  • Experience with SysOps
  • Azure, AWS, and M365 certifications preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a preference for team-based work
  • A desire to work with and contribute to an energetic and engaged team of technology
  • Detail-oriented, even when faced with multiple deadlines on multiple projects
  • An interest in continuous learning and experimenting in the benefit of delivering value to users
