Summary

The Financial Analyst should be an entrepreneurial and open-minded individual with a desire to contribute to a fast-paced, growing company.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing the Bank’s monthly cost accounting program, helping with updating the model and performing analysis of results.
  • Assist with preparing the annual and 3-year budget, helping to measure monthly actual performance against the budget.
  • Assist with the Bank’s monthly budget plan, coordinating ongoing meetings with other division managers, preparing reports and other deliverables to present results.
  • Produce ad hoc budget, profitability and financial analysis as needed.
  • Lead the Bank’s cash/treasury management processes, ensuring cash requirements are maintained on a daily basis. Additionally, manage the team’s relationships with brokers and facilitate the funding process. 
  • Serve as one of the department’s experts on the budget software, evaluating processes and recommending changes to increase efficiencies.
  • Assist in the monthly financial reports for senior management, department management, the ALCO committee, and the Board of Directors as needed.
  • Assist with efforts to ensure that systems, controls, and infrastructure are in place to support a high growth entity.
  • Help drive process improvements that result in cost savings initiatives.
  • This position provides a great opportunity for immediate, hands on, high-level experience and is ideal for individuals looking to one day lead the finance division of a financial services institution.

 

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must have 2+ years of banking experience, 2+ years of experience in a finance role, or a combination of both.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a major in accounting, finance, or economics.
  • Experience working within cost accounting and/or profitability models.
  • Understanding of budgeting software.
  • Understanding and familiarity with Fiserv is a plus.
  • Other qualifications include interpersonal, organizational, detail-oriented, problem-solving, planning, multi-tasking, verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office with an advanced excel spreadsheet aptitude.


The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Leader Bank salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.


Salary Minimum: $65,096.00 - Salary Max: $97,644.00

The range listed is just one component of Leader Bank’s total compensation package for team members. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, commissions, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
