Job Summary

The RD&E PDM Specialist and Office Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance of the Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems. They will work closely with the Engineering, Quality, Process Engineering, and Program Management teams to track and support design and development.  The Office Coordinator is responsible for overall office-related activities, which include office and cafeteria supplies, raw material inventory and ordering. They will also support all teams in administrative functions including ordering, receiving, distributing and processing all paperwork associated with these activities. This position will work closely with Managers, Supervisors and associates in the following departments: RD&E, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Accounting, Purchasing, Production Planning, and external suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage material inventory, ensuring accurate procurement of raw materials.
  • Manage office activities, maintaining inventory of office and cafeteria supplies.
  • Process all paperwork related to orders.
  • Coordinate any transfers of supplies required to/from Shelton plant or DC.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to input and manage design data into PDM, including reading drawings, converting CAD files to other filetypes, and adjusting workflows, as required.
  • Support the Program Management team project tracking as required.
  • Support the overall RD&E team with PDM/PLM reports, dashboard information, project development status, and KPI reporting.
  • Work with other teams throughout the company (including IT, Marketing, Production plants, and others) to ensure information from the RD&E data systems is accessible and searchable as necessary to ERP and other company systems.

  • Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements.
  • Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.
  • Attend scheduled EH&S training program.
  • Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.
  • Recommend improved EH&S practices.
  • Practices safe work habits and follows general safety procedures such as proper lifting and bending, ergonomics, proper use of equipment and use of personal protection equipment (PPE).

Product Safety and Quality

  • Follows Product Safety and Quality standards.
  • Follows GMP’s in regard to food contact packaging as it pertains to the employee.
  • Follows IPC product defense standards and complies with all SQF requirements.

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, or 5 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required, PDM experience preferred.
  • Experience in office management and/or project development preferred.
