Technical Assistance Coordinator Intern

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration/Native Connections

3SGS seeks student interns who desire to work in the health and wellness field with AI/AN communities upon graduation. Interns will support the work of 3SGS, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Tribal Training and Technical Assistance Center, and the Native Connections Training and Technical Assistance Center. Interns will be selected from academic fields that support the goal of increasing mental health and decreasing suicide and substance misuse in Native communities. Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, and Indigenous studies are a few academic disciplines that support the work, however, students of all interests are encouraged to apply.

 

Interns will work remotely and are required to have a computer with Microsoft software, a cell phone, and reliable access to the Internet. This is a part-time and paid position.

 

Location: Remote

Duties

  • Assist staff in providing relevant technical assistance and administrative support to regional grantees
  • Discover a topic of interest and develop a related resource
  • Collaborate with staff to develop or design at least one work product or webinar
  • Assist with staff the coordination, planning, and support of virtual TA events
  • Other projects as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Experience working within AI/AN communities or willingness to learn
  • Self-directed, able to work independently, and highly motivated
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and trustworthy
  • Strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Smartsheet
  • Willing to travel if necessary
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing a graduate degree from an accredited college/university in the health and wellness field
