Position Summary:

The Senior Raw Material Analyst plays a critical role in Barcel USA’s procurement and supply chain operations. This position is responsible for analyzing, forecasting, and managing the sourcing and quality of raw materials used in manufacturing. The Senior Analyst will work cross-functionally with procurement, R&D, quality assurance, production, and finance teams to ensure raw material availability, quality, and cost-efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze raw material usage trends, forecasts, and inventory levels to ensure optimal supply and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Planning teams to develop sourcing strategies that ensure material availability and cost competitiveness.
  • Partner with R&D and Quality teams to evaluate new raw materials and suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance, quality compliance, and risk management, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and maintain material cost models and assist with budgeting and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Lead data analysis and reporting efforts related to raw material procurement, including price fluctuations, lead times, and demand planning.
  • Support ERP/MRP system enhancements and maintain accurate master data for raw materials.
  • Participate in supplier audits and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Food Science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in raw material analysis, procurement, or supply chain in the food or CPG industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of food ingredients, commodities, and supplier quality assurance practices is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
