Description

The Business Development Leader is responsible for driving Barcel’s strategic growth and market expansion across the Regions and Rest of the World . This role is pivotal in shaping long-term business objectives, identifying high-impact opportunities, establishing consistent KPIs, and ensuring alignment between global strategies and local commercial execution.


By collaborating closely with key departments—including Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Logistics—the Business Development Leader will optimize operational processes, enhance sales effectiveness, and unlock new growth potential. A critical component of this role involves cultivating strong relationships with regional sales leaders to identify market opportunities, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and implement strategies that elevate Barcel’s presence and performance in the region.


This leader will oversee efforts to expand the product portfolio, increase market penetration, and maintain high service standards. Through data-driven insights and active participation in business reviews, the Business Development Leader will deliver comprehensive assessments of market performance and contribute to Barcel’s continued commercial excellence.

Key Responsibilities


šŸ“ˆ Strategy & Growth Alignment
• Define, monitor, and communicate KPIs related to market saturation, new channel development, and service levels.
• Ensure all initiatives align with Barcel ROW’s long-term vision and Avenues of Growth strategy.
• Actively participate in periodic business reviews with commercial and cross-functional leadership teams.


🌐 Market Expansion & Business Development
• Drive market penetration by targeting untapped customer segments beyond BIMBO’s existing network.
• Leverage distributors, emerging channels, and local market dynamics to expand reach and strengthen presence.
• Develop and execute strategies that enhance financial performance, brand visibility, and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor industry trends and integrate best practices across the organization.


šŸ“Š Sales & KPI Management
• Provide weekly KPI updates to leadership, focusing on saturation and service level optimization.
• Participate in regional business reviews to assess performance and guide commercial actions—without increasing meeting load.


šŸ¤ Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership
• Facilitate regular strategic and operational alignment meetings with Barcel and BIMBO regional leaders.
• Advise senior management on market trends to inform the development of new products, services, and distribution models.


šŸ“ Data-Driven Insights & Reporting
• Analyze internal and external data to identify competitive opportunities, mitigate risks, and support strategic growth.
• Produce consolidated monthly and quarterly performance reports for executive review.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Revenue Growth Management (RGM) teams to optimize consumption occasions across channels.

Qualifications

- Degree in Business Administration / International Business
- Focused on strategy, commercial management, and market expansion
- Industrial Engineering

- Understanding of brand positioning, channel development, and consumer behavior
