Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Full-time, Non-Exempt, 12 months
Reports to: Athletic Director 
Education/Experience Required/Preferred: A four-year education degree in Exercise Science/Kinesiology or related field is required. NSCA certification and/or Master’s degree preferred. Experience working with high school age athletes is preferred.
Pay Range: $25-$35/hr (The hourly range is the expected range and is dependent on candidate qualifications.)

General Responsibilities:
The Strength and Conditioning Specialist oversees all strength and conditioning services for all athletics programs at VCS.  
Major Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee the strength and conditioning program for all athletics programs
• Implement strength program with coaches providing them with all necessary education and training to supervise their team
• Oversee schedule and use of weight room
• Maintain condition of weight room and equipment, ordering and replacing items as necessary
• Develop and implement college recruitment process for students who desire to play in college
• Maintain CPR/AED certification
• Collaborate with MS Sports Performance (CORE) coaches to develop and implement strength and conditioning program for those athletes 
• Other duties as assigned by Athletic Director

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to demonstrate and instruct proper and safe mechanics with all workouts/lifts
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
• Must be able to traverse school facility and lead students to safety in the event of an emergency

Qualifications:

• Experience working with high school age athletes is preferred
• Possess and maintain CPR/AED and first aid certification
• Previous strength and conditioning coach experience required

This position reports directly to the Athletic Director and is a 12-month, full time position. Village Christian School offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
