The biller is responsible for maintaining records of patients and updating charges. Billing is responsible for creating invoices, submitting claims to insurance companies and sending invoices to patients

12. Knowledge of bill types, revenue codes, and billing on both MMS 1500 and UB04
13. Knowledge of electronic claims submission and enrollment for electronic claims submission
14. Knowledge of working claims to be corrected, rejections and other clearing house issues
15. Knowledge of census reconciliations and service reconciliations
16. Knowledge of telemedicine billing
17. Knowledge of Insurance company portals, payspan, zelis and other portals
18. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding
19. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel required
20. Knowledge of Adobe required
21. Creating invoices based on filing codes assigned to medical procedure.
22. Submitting claims to insurance companies.
23. Sending invoices to patients for remaining balance after insurance payouts.
24. Communicating with insurance company representatives to track payments and confirm patient coverage information.
