Description

Are you passionate about leading financial operations, ensuring organizational stability, and making a meaningful impact in your community?

At Habitat for Humanity of Seattle-King & Kittitas Counties, one of the largest Habitat affiliates in the country, we’re looking for dynamic, solutions-oriented professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, embrace challenges, and are dedicated to generating a lasting impact on affordable homeownership in the Puget Sound. Since 1986, we’ve created 1,000 housing solutions for more than 2,600 people and successfully advocated for fair housing policies at the city, county, and state levels. As we set our sights on doubling our impact and serving an additional 2,000 people by 2030, we need the right team members to help us get there.

Join us as the Director of Finance, where you’ll play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance and financial stability, and supporting our mission of affordable homeownership.

  • Assess and elevate data governance practices across platforms, ensuring timely, accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support change management efforts that accompany system upgrades, new workflows, and policy rollouts.
  • Partner with the CFO on strategic initiatives and complex organizational challenges by providing thoughtful analysis, creative problem-solving, and actionable insights. Serve as a systems-minded collaborator, identifying opportunities to improve and integrate key platforms such as NetSuite (ERP), Paycom (HR/payroll), and Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge (CRM/fundraising).
  • Act as a strategic problem solver, capable of dissecting complex, ambiguous challenges and translating them into clear, actionable roadmaps for cross-functional teams.
  • Train and coach staff on business excellence principles, helping embed a culture of accountability and agility.
  • Continual analysis of the Finance Department; look for innovative and transformative ways to improve current operations and processes.
  • Engage in open and regular communication with staff from all other organizational functions to maintain rapport, mutual support, and consistent integration of agendas.
  • Develop and update policy and procedure documents and training resources.
  • Provide content, presentations and data as needed for promotional, financial and management needs.
  • Manage and direct a team of 2 direct reports & 9 indirect reports.
  • Other duties as assigned
