Job Summary

The Director of Sales is responsible for direct management and supervision of Market Managers, Broker Support & Call Center Supervisor, Sr. Manager Community Engagement & Member Retention and Sales Trainer including oversight of their respective direct reports. This position will play an active role representing Clever Care in the broker community.  Develop relationships, manage and mentor teams and focus on sales performance, reporting and growth development.  Market/Broker teams will be the main focus for success as 85% of our sales is driven by the broker channel.

 

The Sales Director will manage the internal sales activity planning and result tracking, sales meeting planning, member retention and manage sales conversion and sales goal delivery.

 

Functions & Job Responsibilities

  • Performance reporting and identifying strategic broker partners to inspire the broker team to build consistent sales goals.
  • Manage internal sales team, both employee sales team and tele-sales team.
  • Create and support strong collaboration with Medicare sales management and development.
  • Motivate and lead the team for personal growth and organizational performance.
  • Develop and oversee broker training programs.
  • Manage effective lead management and lead conversion. 
  • Lead and mentor consistent retention efforts with all sales channels. 
  • Communicate effectively to team members, clearly delivering individual and department goals
  • Identify and respond to market trends impacting your area and remain flexible and ready to meet unexpected challenges.
  • Work with compliance to ensure that policies are in place to ensure our sales channels are complying with CMS sales/marketing guidelines.
  • Foster accountability within the sales organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare required or equivalent experience. 
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in Medicare Sales. 
  • Five (5) years’ experience in mentoring and leading teams. 
  • Three (3) years’ experience in Broker/Agency sales engagement and development.   Extensive experience working with Asian broker partners and beyond is highly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge on Medicare compliance, broker relationship building with a strong background in working with Asian agencies and agents a plus.
  • Proven success and extensive experience in Medicare sales management, sales development.
  • Experience in developing and overseeing broker training programs.

Wage Range: $137,180/year to $180,000/year DOE, plus commission

 

Physical & Working Environment.

Physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Must be able to travel when needed or required  
  • Ability to operate a keyboard, mouse, phone and perform repetitive motion (keyboard); writing (note-taking)
  • Ability to sit for long periods; stand, sit, reach, bend, lift up to fifteen (15) lbs.

 

Ability to express or exchange ideas to impart information to the public and to convey detailed instructions to staff accurately and quickly.

 

Work is performed in an office environment and/or remotely. The job involves frequent contact with staff and public. May occasionally be required to work irregular hours based on the needs of the business.

Salary ranges posted on the job posting are based on California wages. Salary may be higher or lower depending on the candidate’s state residency.
