Description

The Actuator Technician will be responsible for assembling, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing a wide variety of actuators used in valve automation projects. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in shop and field environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and install pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuators on valves according to specifications

  • Troubleshoot and repair actuators, including disassembly, inspection, and reassembly

  • Perform actuator calibration, testing, and stroke verification to ensure proper operation

  • Interpret and follow technical drawings, datasheets, and wiring diagrams

  • Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on actuators and related equipment

  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, parts used, and testing results

  • Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times

  • Assist with field service projects as needed, including travel to customer sites

  • Work collaboratively with valve technicians and engineering teams to meet project deadlines

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred

  • Strong understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuation principles

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams

  • Mechanical aptitude with experience using basic hand and power tools

  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
