PAY RATE: $15.41 Hourly (Pay is negotiable based on experience)

Summary:

Plans and conducts the daily program for families with children typically from birth to three years of age.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plans and prepares lessons and developmentally appropriate activities for enrolled children from birth through 3 years old. Conducts sessions through the mobile classroom and center-based sessions. Administers developmental screenings and tracks developmental milestones. 45%
  • Assists, guides, and supports parents of enrolled children to enhance the children’s growth potential. Provides support to enrolled mothers throughout pregnancy. Refers families to other CAP programs and community resources. 30%
  • Networks with external early childhood agencies for ease of referrals, to promote awareness, and to improve services for families with young children in the county. Coordinates and participates in early childhood and community events. 25%

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent General Studies Required

18 Months Additional Training In related field Required

 

Years of Experience:

3 or more years of successful experience in related field or combination of education and experience

 

Certifications and Licensure:

Possess a Valid Kentucky Driver's License and Maintain a Safe Driving Record Required

CAP Driving Certification* (or ability to obtain within first 90 days) Required

DOT Medical Card Ability to obtain and maintain RV driving certification Required

CPR and First Aid (or ability to obtain) Required

Non-Contagious TB Test Result Required

*In order to drive personal vehicle on CAP business, must obtain and maintain a policy of motor vehicle insurance coverage on privately-owned vehicle with insurance coverage amounts of $50,000 bodily injury per person per accident; $100,000 bodily injury for all bodily injuries per accident; and $50,000 property damage per accident.

 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk

Load crate/box on 27 inch shelf with 3 bags 16 lbs each and 1 bag 17 lb

Lift 65 lbs occasionally and place on 5 inch shelf

Push pallet jack with 50 lbs of force a distance of 50 ft

Step up/down from an 18" step

Push mop

Pull a garage door down with 45 lbs of force and pull upward from ground at 38 lbs of force

Lifts/moves items with unknown weight or that are awkward shapes and sizes with assistance

Sit for extended periods of time

Have good visual acuity with corrective lenses

Have good hearing capabilities

Stand for extended periods of time
