Summary of Position
The Marina Station Bartender must bring a blend of creativity, expertise in mixology, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. The bartender is responsible for wine and beer pairing as well as crafting unique and sophisticated craft cocktails that complement our menu and enhance our guests' dining experience.

- Knowledgeably describe menu items, specials, and wine pairings to assist guests in making informed choices.
- Anticipate and fulfill guest needs promptly and courteously.
- Lead and motivate the service team by setting a high standard for professionalism, efficiency, and friendliness.
- Attend pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials, important information, and service expectations.
- Ensure that all food and beverages meet the established quality standards before being served to guests.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
- Actively promote upselling techniques to maximize sales and enhance the overall guest experience.
- Prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails, including signature drinks, classic cocktails, and innovative creations, ensuring each drink meets the standards for quality and presentation.
- Engage with guests to recommend beverages, share insights about our cocktail offerings, and tailor drinks to their preferences.
- Manage high-volume service while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in drink preparation
- Manage bar inventory and supplies, ensuring all necessary ingredients are stocked and fresh.
- Uphold the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop pairings and special event menus.
- Set up and break down on-site satellite bars for restaurant events and the Tiki bar.
- Participate in and contribute to staff training sessions focused on product knowledge and service excellence.

- Knowledge of Food & Beverage: In-depth understanding of the menu, wine pairings, dietary restrictions, and special offerings to assist both guests and staff.
- Technology: Proficiency in using restaurant management software for reservations, and point of sale (POS) systems.

Work Environment
This position’s work is conducted in an indoor and outdoor environment. Working in the front of house and back of house areas are required. At times, the back of house areas could be warmer than the front of house due to the kitchen equipment. A dress code is required.
Physical Demands
Standing on your feet for most or all of your shift is often required. The lifting of supplies and equipment that may exceed 50 lbs could also be required. Bending down, kneeling, crouching, squatting, and pushing are other physical demands that may be required of you. Accepting this job indicates you understand these physical demands and are able to complete the essential functions of the job that required these physical demands.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is an hourly, part time position. Schedules vary depending on the demand of business. Varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.
