Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Administrative Assistant to join our team!

 

JOB SUMMARY:  Perform secretarial duties using specific knowledge of medical terminology and hospital, clinic, or laboratory procedures. Schedule appointments, greet and check-in patients upon arrival and perform check-out upon departure while ensuring patient information is collected, entered in the computer system accurately, and that all patients are aware of policies and procedures. Distributes appropriate information to all ancillary departments.

Qualifications

Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent or higher.

Experience: One to three month’s related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in a medical office or customer service setting preferred.

Equipment/Technology:  Ability to use hospital information system, and operate basic computer functions and software.

Language/Communication: Be able to read, write, and communicate in English. Bilingual is a plus. Active listening to understand what other people are saying and respond appropriately.

Mathematical Skills: General math skills

Mental Capabilities: Can regularly and consistently make sound judgments. Able to use logic and reasoning to identify appropriate solutions.

Interpersonal: Good communication skills. Sensitive to the needs and feelings of others. Able and comfortable to collaborate with others to accomplish tasks.

Performance: Must be able to resolve conflict with both patients and staff.
