Barcel USA is looking to hire a dynamic Shopper Marketing Manager who will champion key strategic company pillars to drive the acceleration and growth of our brands.  This role will guide the execution of General Market and Hispanic shopper marketing initiatives across the path to purchase.  This person is a strategic, highly analytical, marketing professional with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. 
Shopper Marketing is an integral component of our integrated trade marketing approach, driving category, brand and share growth with our top retailers. Shopper marketing amplifies our brand’s strategies and marries them with each retailer’s strategic priorities to ultimately develop insight-driven programming to drive household penetration on our strategic brands. 

The Shopper Marketing Manager is responsible for developing insights for brands and retailers, working with the Category Management team to develop insight-based programs and sell-in the programs with the Account Executives. The associate will be responsible for creating best-in-class, shopper-centric activations grounded in consumer, shopper and retail insights. This position will collaborate cross-functionally with Category Management, Sales, Brand Marketing, Finance and Omni-channel.

Responsibilities: 
   
• Manage & Customize Shopper Programs for Large format, Small format and Drug working with National Accounts and DSD team to leverage and create accountability in every program.  
• Manage Timelines & Relationship with Shopper Partners 
• Work with DSD on accountability of each program.
• Analyze various shopper and consumer research, data and insight tools to develop high value shopper marketing solutions and programs for our retailers that support each brands marketing strategy.
• Manage account-specific shopper marketing programs from inception to implementation by working with customers, sales, E-Commerce, brand marketing, agency, etc., to ensure national strategy is executed at the retail level.
• Develop strong, collaborative partnerships with key retailer marketing contacts, leading co-creation sessions to recommend future strategy, innovation and white space growth opportunities through retailer/shopper insights
• In partnership with the sales team, lead development, implementation, and execution of shopper strategy through planning, budgeting and ongoing with key stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyze program performance metrics and effectively communicate key findings of programs to sales and other cross-functional teams, proactively addressing gaps and turning analysis into action to help grow the business.
• Engage Marketing team with sales and retailer feedback.
• Manage the development of promotional materials with internal teams and ensure proper execution at retail such as creative implementation for retail-specific programs/events.
• Leads the development and implementation of shopper marketing tactics and materials to support key activation plans (i.e. brochures, sell sheets, in-store signage/displays, print & digital coupons, etc.)
• Manages key strategic partnerships, negotiates agreements, and foster on-going partner relationships in support of the shopper marketing agenda and plan.
• Partners with the digital team to activate campaigns that drive engagement across the shopper journey. 
• Analyzes performance and provides recaps for shopper marketing programs and retail/account specific programs. Translate learnings into actionable recommendations.
• Monday platform, review requests from sales/trade shows/giveaways, etc.
• Review with Category Management team to get results of shopper programs in a timely manner. 
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, Business or equivalent is preferred.

• Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business or Economics, MBA a strong plus.
• Experience with IRI/Nielsen preferred.
• CPG food and beverage preferred. Retail/Trade marketing knowledge of top tier grocery and mass accounts a plus.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a trade marketing or retail environment.
• Background in Sales is highly recommended.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under stressful situations and tight deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and follow-up skills.
• Presentation and negotiation Skills. 
• Detail oriented with administrative skills.
• Demonstrate initiative.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple, time-sensitive projects.
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment.

• Availability to travel: Inside the Country 30%.
