At Lakeshore Day Camps the Camp Counselor’s main role is to help campers develop their social-emotional skills (i.e. build self-confidence, build relationships, navigate interpersonal conflicts) by encouraging participation in a wide range of activities. Camp Counselors spend the summer with a particular age group to help develop trust, understanding, and friendship within that group.
The Camp Counselors are responsible for behavior management, group movements, safety, meals, and well-being of the campers as well as facilitating activities lead by our content specialist.
