Engagement Specialist II-PT

Summary: Under direct supervision, the Engagement Specialist II works with staff to support the Library's strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library.

This position will be assigned to the Almonte Library at 2727 SW 59th Street in Oklahoma City, OK.  

The hiring salary for this position is $21.57 hourly.  This is a half-time position working 20 hours per week.  This position is not exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.  The candidate should be available to work Tuesday to Thursday from 4:00 to 9:00 pm with a rotating Saturday and Sunday shift.*

The Metropolitan Library System offers the following for half-time employees:

• Vacation Leave @ 4 hours per month

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university; and
• One year of customer service experience.

• Enthusiasm for public service and the ability to work well with a diverse audience.
• Experience building sustainable community relationships.
• High level of comfort with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
