Engagement Specialist II-PT

Under direct supervision, the Engagement Specialist II works with staff to support the Library's strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library. 

This position will be assigned to the Community Libraries, which include locations in the municipalities of Jones, Harrah, Choctaw, Luther and Nicoma Park.  The candidate for this position may work a schedule which demands that they be available to work at any of the Community Library locations.

The hiring salary for this position is $21.57 hourly.  This is a half-time position working 20 hours per week.  This position is not exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.  The current need for this position requires that the candidate be available to work one of the following shifts: Monday from 8:00 to 2:00 pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 to 12:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 to 6:00 pm or Monday from 8:00 to 5:00, Tuesday from 8:00 to 2:00 pm and Friday from 12:00 to 6:00 pm.*

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university; and
• One year of customer service experience.

• Enthusiasm for public service and the ability to work well with a diverse audience.
• Experience building sustainable community relationships.
• High level of comfort with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
