Collection Development Technician (PT)

Under general supervision, the Collection Development Technician processes title purchase suggestions, compiles usage statistics, and assists with collection maintenance. Posts invoices, processes review copies, and provides back up for full-time technicians. Answers phone and welcomes visitors.

This position will be assigned to the Collection Services and Development department within the Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library, located at 300 Park Avenue in Oklahoma City, OK  73102.

The hiring salary for this position is $17.18 hourly.  This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week.  This position is not classified as exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.  The current need for this position requires that the candidate be available to work a shift of either Monday to Friday (4 consecutive hours per day) or Tuesday to Friday (5 consecutive hours per day) where the hours worked falling between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm.*

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED, and
• One year of clerical experience

HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

• One year of experience working in a library.
