Automotive Detail Assistant Manager - (Townson, MD)

Xcite Automotive is seeking an Automotive Detail Assistant Manager for our dealership partners in Townson, MD!!

Job Description: As an Assistant Manager you will oversee all employees at the location on behalf of the company and report directly to the District Manager. This role involves supervising a crew of employees, managing labor costs and inventory, attending monthly meetings, and performing interior/exterior detailing as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Detail Shop Manager in overseeing day-to-day shop operations.
• Participate in hands-on detailing of vehicles (interior and exterior).
• Monitor workflow, productivity, and quality standards.
• Support scheduling, labor management, and staff assignments.
• Track and maintain inventory of supplies and chemicals.
• Train and coach detail staff as needed.
• Attend monthly meetings with dealership management.
• Ensure shop operates efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

What you need:

• Experience in automotive detailing (hands-on knowledge is required)
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be dependable, self-motivated, and proactive
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Requirements

• 2+ years automotive detailing experience (dealership preferred).
• Ability to drive manual & automatic transmissions.
• 1+ year supervisory or lead experience.
• Knowledge of buffing, polishing, and restoration techniques.
• Labor cost and inventory management experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• At least 18 years old or older
• 1 years or more of management experience
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate on all levels
• Must be available to work on weekends, holidays as required by season and role
