HOST CASHIER

Job Description:

The Host/Cashier will be responsible for providing service in a manner which ensures excellent customer service and a professional environment resulting in increased customer loyalty.  

Job Requirements:

• Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and restaurant staff.
• Greet and make welcome each guest entering the restaurant.
• Build a rapport with guests while walking them to their tables.
• Accommodate our guests, asking if they prefer a table or booth.
• Ensure that guest seating is rotated between all service stations.
• Highlight with excitement any current wine or other promotion.
• Communicate guest needs to staff/management, i.e., celebrating anniversary and/ or birthdays.
• Communicate guest complaints and compliments to management.
• Evaluate business levels and arranges or cuts the floor appropriately.
• Assess any situation that possibly needs immediate upper management attention.
• Thank guests and invite them back upon completion of their visit.
• Answer telephone to take new reservations and maintain current reservations within procedural guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have excellent customer services skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
