Full-Time Maintenance Technician
- Must be within 30 mile radius of Lake City, Iowa
Required Education:
High school or equivalent. Must be able to follow complex instructions.
Position Summary:
Performs general, routine maintenance and servicing operations throughout the hospital and clinic properties as directed.
Essential Function:
- Maintains established departmental procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, environmental and infection control standards, and hospital policies including compliance policies.
- Performs repairs on building structures and equipment throughout the facilities. Such work includes painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical.
- Performs required Preventative Maintenance as assigned.
- Ensures the safety of all patients, visitors, and staff within the facilities and grounds
- Maintains orderly, clean and safe work areas.
- Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies.
- Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to other sites as needed.
- Ensures that patient information is treated as confidential information. Adheres to the policies and procedures regarding HIPAA Guidelines.
- Takes call according to the On-Call schedule.
- Satisfactorily qualifies for the position through an Iowa Criminal History/Dependent Adult Abuse check within the limits of applicable laws.
