Job Summary
The Safety Manager keeps our 80+ Good 2 Go convenience stores running safely, smoothly, and with plenty of smiles. This role leads the Health and Safety Compliance Program across all operations and affiliated sites— protecting our people, promoting safe habits, and making sure every teammate goes home in the same condition they came in—maybe with a few more snacks.
This position oversees everything from compliance and training to audits, investigations, and continuous improvement. In short: if it involves keeping our teams safe and our stores compliant, you’re at the center of it.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead programs that protect people and property
- Promote behavior-based safety and hazard recognition program to keep everyone proactive, not reactive.
- Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions—closing the loop every time.
- Conduct site-specific safety audits to prevent accidents before they happen.
- Manage Safety Committee and Safety Council meetings to keep communication and action flowing.
- Maintain emergency action plans and make sure every team knows what to do when the unexpected happens.
Keep us compliant and confident
- Maintain OSHA compliance and ensure each store follows site-specific safety procedures.
- Direct and deliver engaging safety and accident prevention training for all employees.
- Partner with field management to develop and implement incident prevention plans that actually work.
Track, report, and equip our teams for success
- Monitor workers’ compensation claims, medical management, and trends to reduce costs and downtime.
- Coordinate purchases of safety gear so every store has the right tools for the job.
- Maintain all required safety documentation—OSHA logs, injury reports, performance tracking, and more.
Guard our people, our property, and our peace of mind
- Respond to urgent safety or security concerns with calm, speed, and good judgment.
- Oversee site security programs across all locations to protect assets and prevent loss.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to reduce risks and strengthen our safety culture company-wide.
