Job Summary
The ultrasound tech/trainer provides diagnostic patient care services, including dating of pregnancy, evaluation of pregnancy location, and intra-operative ultrasound guidance, using ultrasound, and related diagnostic procedures. The ultrasound tech/trainer is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography. The ultrasound tech/trainer is also responsible for patient schedules, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA). Participates in center-wide health center efforts to achieve established goals for productivity and adheres to affiliate goals and policies on professionalism, wait time in-clinic, and the system for addressing client complaints. Participate in health center/affiliate efforts to achieve established revenue cycle goals, patient satisfaction goals, and enhance patient volumes. The Sonographer always maintains a high standard of medical ethics, and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding, knowledge of the field, and new procedures as they evolve.
