The Director of Nursing will lead and manage nursing operations within a correctional healthcare setting, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to facility policies, healthcare regulations, and industry best practices. This role will oversee nursing staff, develop and implement clinical protocols, and drive quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. The Director of Nursing will also collaborate with healthcare teams, manage budgets, and contribute to strategic planning to ensure optimal care delivery.Â
How YOU can Make an Impact:

Serve as the primary liaison between nursing staff, providers, healthcare administration, and correctional leadership.Â

Ensure compliance with MEDIKO policies, correctional standards, and federal, state, and local regulations.Â

Develop, implement, and monitor nursing protocols, infection control procedures, and clinical best practices.Â
What we Ask of YOU:

A Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field is required.Â

A Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related discipline is preferred.Â

Experience with regulatory compliance, including familiarity with NCCHC, ACA, and other healthcare standards relevant to the correctional setting is preferred.Â

Certification in Healthcare Management (e.g., FACHE, CPHQ, CHC, or similar), Correctional Healthcare (NCCHC) or other relevant professional certifications is preferred.Â
