Utility Driver

The Utility Driver drives light utility truck or automobile to pick up or deliver supplies, mechanical parts or materials to and from vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drives truck to pick up or deliver, in the local area, such items as bearings, small motors, mechanical parts, office supplies, lubricants, mobile equipment parts, and assorted items necessary to repair plant equipment.
• Keeps to driving schedule which includes, water spraying, yard sweeping (with Forklift) and morning deliveries to Sister plant in Chino, along with any emergency deliveries/pickups as necessary.
• Cleans inside of truck and performs routine operator maintenance on truck.
• Occasionally provides transportation to employees to and from clinic, airports, plants, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Ability to read and write simple sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and  to demonstrate ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain driving record in good standing.
