Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.Â
- 1+ years working on a dredge and/or related experience in mining, aggregate, quarries, dredging, sand & gravel, heavy mobile equipment or plant operations.
- Knowledge of MSHA regulations. Familiarity with OSHA and U.S. Coast Guard regulations is a plus.
- High motivation, leadership qualities, strong work ethic, and self-starter.Â
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts. Rotating schedules as needed which may include weekends.
- Ability to operate a computer.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Heavy equipment operating and welding experience preferred.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
- Ability to do physical labor. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, to communicate to employees/management/visitors.
- Ability to participate in required overnight travel as needed.
