NIKA is hiring for an Administrative Assistant who will provide support services to the USCG Base Operation Support Services contract in Kodiak, AK!

Position Requirements

  • Familiarity with common office processes, including filing, handling mail and directing telephone calls
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with common word processing, spreadsheet, database and basic accounting software
  • Accurate and efficient typing skills for data entry, taking minutes and dictations, answering emails and typing letters and other documents
  • Verbal communication for addressing other employees and business contact
  • Customer service for dealing with techs and
  • Organization and ability to multitask for filing and completing several clerical and administrative tasks at once
  • Attention to detail to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard, such as taking sufficiently detailed minutes and telephone messages
  • Integrity and discretion when working with sensitive employee and customer details

Preferred Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in production control or related field is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of production control procedures, systems, and best practices.
  • Strong mathematical and numerical skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews technician completed work orders and preventative maintenance tasks for the USCG Base Kodiak.
  • Verifies accurate completion of all work tasks including work priority, delegation of work to appropriate shops and work completion timelines.
  • Verifies labor and material charges to work tasks including validation of any requested corrections.
  • Completes ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Assist Deputy Project Manager with reports and clerical
  •  Assist with contractually required monthly status reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
