NIKA is hiring for a Financial Analyst to support the Defense Health Agency’s (DHA) Division in San Antonio, TX.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Functionally, reports to the Deputy of Facilities Enterprise Facilities Operations Branch.
- Develops briefings, presentations forecasting upcoming executing requirements and provides status/disposition of current executed requirements, identifying execution rates and any areas of concern.
- Assists the government in managing the DHA-FE’s financial program for the year of execution to include initial distribution by program element (SRM, Initial Outfitting (IO), Base Operating Support (BOS), centrally funded programs and fallout distribution.
- Assists the government in requesting prior year upward obligation adjustments in expired expenditure/appropriation accounts for non-recurring operation & maintenance (O&M) funded sustainment, restoration, and modernization (SRM).
- Validates prior year fund (PYF) request packages; Prepare and submit approved request packages to Financial Operations Division (FOD) for action.
- Assists and coordinate financial management functions and serve as advisors to leadership on all matters pertaining to programming/budgeting, finance and accounting, and cost analysis.
- Provides periodic briefings, presentations, and meeting to senior management and/or program managers of Status of Funds, Budget Execution, and budget variances.
Requirements:
- Minimum three (3) years demonstrated experience in field of financial management and accounting occurring within the last five (5) years.
- Minimum three (3) years demonstrated experience with the planning, programming, and budgeting processes, with demonstrated experience and knowledge of DoD facility funding models and financial management systems.
- Demonstrated experience processing and managing accounting transactions in a financial management system such as the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS)
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Ability to obtain security clearance is required
