NIKA is hiring for three (3) Medical Planners who will provide architecture and engineering support services for the purpose of performing a Healthcare Requirements Analysis (HCRA) study in support of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) for the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC), Germany. This is a remote position with two trips to Germany that will last a couple days in duration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and conduct regional healthcare system planning, clinical strategy, facility master planning, and functional/space programming of new and/or existing facilities.
  • Demonstrate capabilities utilizing healthcare strategy, planning metrics and emerging trends to define operational processes and resource requirements in healthcare planning documents.
  • Conduct analysis and planning on multiple project types and client sectors within healthcare delivery.
  • Acquire, normalize and analyze multi-sector healthcare data (patient/facility/physician) utilized in modeling healthcare delivery and developing operational alternatives for healthcare systems.
  • Forecast future healthcare utilization through trend analysis and extrapolation.
  • Present and display data, analysis and findings to help clients make decisions.
  • Develop financial analyses.
  • Organize and participate in client team meetings; persuasively present findings.

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture, engineering
  • Five (5)+ years experience in healthcare preferably in the federal sector.
    Or
  • Bachelors degree or higher in healthcare administration
  • 10 year’s experience in healthcare administration preferably in the federal sector with work focuses on data analytics, population and health management
  • Must be able to attain and maintain a US Security Clearance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Requires a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in nursing, other clinical area, engineering, architecture or healthcare administration.

5-7 years’ experience and working knowledge of health facility planning and design and healthcare delivery.

Proficient with the following Microsoft Office programs: Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook.

Preferred experience, working knowledge and executive level understanding of the Military Health System (MHS), the Defense Health Agency, DHA Facilities Enterprise, DHNs and the Services facility planning organizations).

Senior level written and oral communication skills.

Working knowledge of DoD medical space planning and design criteria, DoD space and equipment planning system (SEPS), and industry standards for the planning and design of medical facilities preferred.
