NIKA is hiring for a Quality Control Manager who will be responsible for the on-site quality control supporting the USCG Family Housing Maintenance Services Training Center (TRACEN) in Cape May, NJ!  This is a pro-active opportunity that NIKA will be bidding on and hiring for post award.

Job Duties: 

  • Develop and maintain an effective quality control program to ensure services are performed in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), applicable laws, regulations, and best commercial practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of services to ensure compliance with contract specifications and standards.
  • Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure non-recurrence of defective services.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions. Prepare and submit detailed quality control reports and presentations for project stakeholders, including recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and best commercial practices.
  • Provide training and support to staff to ensure understanding and adherence to quality standards.

Requirements:

  • The QCM shall have at least one (1) year of experience in performing quality assurance, health and environmental safety inspections of facilities maintenance processes and repairs in accordance with local, state, and federal agencies.
  • They must have demonstrated technical knowledge of housing maintenance systems including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, grounds maintenance, and general contracting.
  • Read and interpret engineering and architectural plans and specifications.
  • Inspect materials, workmanship, and the construction and installation of various systems.
  • Use testing instruments.
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Communicate effectively with Contractor management and personnel, other contractors, and user agency
  • representatives.
  • Fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Clearance Access Card (CAC)
  • U.S. Citizenship required
