Description

Our company is a well-established multi-state company that is continuing to grow and expand. We strive to create a family atmosphere where everyone is friendly and appreciates one another.  The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for the daily management of customer service activities focusing on deliveries to customers, as well as insuring specific levels of service to all clients being served within the team. The CSR is responsible for preparing files, distributing documents, cargo tracking, billing and collecting funds while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

 

  • Managing and tracking customers and their containers which may include:
  • Daily status updates
  • Troubleshooting
  • Coordinating and communicating with outside vendors
  • Reconcile import files and accurate data input of import files in company computer systems
  • Keep customers in constant communication with important milestones and if needed resolve any issues to insure smooth service.
  • Maintain status reports from excel, with daily shipment updates, including status & delivery info
  • Receive and update shipment status in a timely manner; issue shipment alerts
  • Track and Trace Inbound shipments
  • Ensure timely delivery of cargo to customer
  • Process documents and issue arrival notices timely and accurately
  • Complete shipment accounting timely and accurately
  • Build relationships with all customers
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm

 

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of customer service experience, in an office
  • Knowledge of basic computer systems (Microsoft products, Internet, etc.; knowledge of WMS is a plus (aAccellos, IRMs, WMS, SAP, Oracle)
  • Excellent communication skills including
  • Verbal: the ability to clearly communicate verbally to customers and fellow employees
  • Written: the ability to effectively communicate in writing to customers and fellow employees
  • Listening and interpreting information
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent accuracy skills
  • Excellent organization, follow-up and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and constantly re-prioritize
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Pleasant demeanor
  • Flexibility
  • Bi-lingual is a plus
