Position Overview:
The Arc is seeking a full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CFO is a member of the Executive Team and will play a critical role in the growth and transformational change of The Arc Prince George’s County. The CFO will partner with the CEO and work closely with other senior leaders. The CFO will implement The Arc’s financial policies and direction while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the organization’s overall strategy. The CFO will lead all financial administration, accounting, budgeting activities, and oversee the IT department; This position has multiple direct reports.
This position is eligible for teleworking two days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee budgeting, and the implementation of budgets, to monitor progress and present operational metrics both internally and externally
- Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with The Arc’s strategic plan
- Engage the senior leaders to align financial management with short- and long-term financial planning and projections
- Serve as the staff liaison for the Finance Committee; support the board and attend all board meetings, executive staff and other staff/board relationship managers to increase communication and collaboration
- Ensure that finance staff maintains financial record systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and monitor the use of all funds
- Manage the timely preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics for funding organizations, The Arc’s executive management and board of directors; prepare and communicate monthly and annual financial statements
- Help drive the acquisition and renovation of a new building that will house a variety of services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Oversee the IT department – including CRM and systems integration work
