SUMMARY:
As part of the Flood Brothers Team, the Mover’s primary role is to transport furniture and other items from one place to another. A Mover’s ultimate goal is to safely and quickly deliver all items to the client’s satisfaction. This involves the Mover’s participation in every step of the moving process, from prepping items for the journey to unloading them at the new space. An effective Mover collaborates with the team and with the clients to keep items safe from damage during the move. When performed correctly, this role directly contributes to a positive customer experience.
MOVER SKILLS:
To be successful as a Mover at Flood Brothers, should possess a range of skills. Much of the role indeed relies on physical ability, but effective communication skills and attention to detail are also important attributes that movers employ daily.
A mover should have:
• The ability to repeatedly lift and carry heavy boxes and furniture
• Effective communication skills when interacting with clients and team members
• Organization and time management capabilities
• The ability to solve problems on the spot
• Basic knowledge of furniture disassembly and reassembly
• Meticulousness skills when packing and loading furniture for safe transportation
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Taking an accurate inventory of items
• Keep a clean and safe working environment
• Communicate with customers to inform, build trust and confidence, resolve issues, and enhance their overall experience
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
• Loading and un-loading trucks and trailers using material handling equipment
• Pack and unpack items in an organized and efficient manner
SALARY
$16.00/hr (based on experience)

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position holder generally works outside of an office environment. Will be required to visit different locations with varied environments based on the nature of business. Work in and during all weather conditions including, heat, rain, cold, snow, and wind.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to walk, speak, stand and sit. Access and mobility in tight spaces. Repeatedly lifting materials associated with the position up to 70 lbs.
TRAVEL:
There are some out of town assignments, however most will be local assignments.
