Description

Manufacturing Shipping Technician
Compensation: Starting pay of $19.00-23.50/hr + tri-annual performance-based bonuses!
Location: Minneapolis, KS

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, package, label, and prepare product orders for shipment. Prioritize product output sequence based on customer demand, lead time, and sales forecast. Assist in production finishing processes occasionally to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Interface with Manufacturing, Sales, and Purchasing teammates to ensure customer orders are shipped in accurate, complete, and timely manner.
  • Verify inventory reports by comparing them to physical counts of stock.
  • Investigate discrepancies, notify management, and aid in resolution.
  • Meet with Manufacturing Supervisors and Manager to discuss progress and compile reports on production volume, quality control and material inventory.
  • Operate powered material handling equipment to transport inventory, unload incoming stock and load orders.
  • Follow standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Written and verbal communication ability and skill.
  • Ability to utilize mechanical and basic office equipment.
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to lift 20-30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to operate powered equipment (Forklift, Cranes, etc). In-house training provided.

Qualifications

Ideal Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, team player.
  • Manufacturing experience desired.
  • Reliability.
  • Interest in career development and personal learning.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and/or environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities desired.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs desired.
  • Strong typing and 10-key data-entry skills desired.
  • Preferred previous experience working in a high-performance team setting.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.

 

Work Environment: This is a manufacturing plant environment - exposure to high temperatures, moving machinery, moving equipment, heights and confined spaces.
